Zine-of-the-Month Club
Since 2019, I’ve run a zine-of-the-month club that shares my work and supports other zine-makers. Each month, I send out a snail mail package with one of my new zines and a featured artist’s zine. Each month’s unique package also includes bonus art like cute stickers and cards. I hope that subscribers learn about a world of zine-makers that will inspire you to make your own art.
The current zine-of-the-month club is capped at 250 members. You can buy an annual subscription for 2025 or subscribe via Patreon any time.
Zines are a way to connect and support each other
When I first started this club, I was snail mailing out my own zines as part of a project where I made a zine every day for a year. When I wrapped up that year of zines, I decided that what I really wanted to do was use the income I get from Patreon to help support other zine-makers, too. So I started spend about half the money I get from Patreon each month on buying another artist’s zines to feature. I feel like this is a win-win-win situation: I get to know other artists, they get to sell a bunch of zines, and club members get to find out about a wider world of artists.
I usually find zines to feature by talking to artists at comics conventions and through picking up interesting titles in zine shops. Each zine builds a connection—between me, subscribers, and the artists from around the world.
